A truck-based exploration rig like this combines the familiarity, safety, features, and on- and off-road performance of a brand-new heavy-duty Crew Cab Cummins Ram truck with the space and comfort of a premium luxury camper. When you’re deep in the elements and a freak storm hits, you can confidently continue the adventure or retreat directly into the camper without going outside.

The 25-foot, 14,000-pound (dry) Trekker is visually stunning and well-balanced. The custom camper capsule is underpinned by a 2025 Ram 5500 Crew Cab 4×4 chassis cab pickup powered by the 6.7-liter Cummins I6 turbodiesel. The dual rear wheels have been converted to singles. A LiquidSpring Smart Suspension System constantly optimizes ride quality and handling. It’s height-adjustable and features self-leveling capabilities, which is important when it comes to settling down for the night. The forged wheels, winch-equipped front bumper, and 40-inch tires come courtesy of Buckstop Truckware. The whole thing is smothered in scratch and chip resistant protective Adventure Skin, so you don’t have to cry as much after that first overgrown trail.

The fully customized monolithic one-piece carbon-fiber vacuum infused shell, crafted in collaboration with Design Concepts, is lightweight (699 pounds), leakproof, and wood-free. With true four-season capabilities, the camper is heavily insulated against freezing and unbearably hot temperatures. Spacious windows, complete with bug and blackout screens, connect the inside with the outside. A pass-through rear storage compartment provides protected, out-of-the-way stowage for camping and adventure gear. The cassette toilet cartridge can be accessed from the outside. The diesel fuel filler is conveniently positioned in the rear, away from the camper body.

As you can imagine, the inside of the Trekker is elegant and inviting. With touches of bamboo and leather, every surface feels natural and pure. Easy-to-open, soft-close aluminum drawers provide durability without looking industrial. You can stand upright in the spacious bathroom, which also has a sink, window, and shower head. In addition to the well-equipped kitchen (with a cool molle-panel backsplash) and flexible dinette space, the cab-over section features a permanent, ladder-accessible King-size sleeping area. You can sleep north-south or east-west in this cavernous cave. The prep-free, dedicated sleep area is a no-compromise solution to good rest.

The 27North Trekker runs 48-volt architecture for maximum power efficiency. A plug-and-play design allows for components to be added or taken away easily. Ample power is provided by multiple 310-Ah Ecoflow lithium batteries partially fed by solar power.
